Healing prayer for my brother to get well soon
Give your loved one the best medicine there is in times of sickness: Bible Verses and prayer! When I titled this blog post “prayer for my brother to get well soon“, I didn’t mean this healing prayer was only for your biological brother.
In the book of Matthew chapter twelve, the Lord Jesus when someone said to him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” He replied, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” (Matthew 12:46-50)

We are all brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Pray this get well prayer over anyone who needs healing. Prayer is one of the most powerful medicines there is! And of course one of the most important things we can do in the midst of a challenging time.
How do I pray for my brother for fast recovery?
Pray with purpose and faith. The Bible says the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective (James 5:16).
Pray knowing that true healing power lies in the hands of our one and only great physician the almighty God!
When your beloved brother or sister are in need of healing, know that powerful prayers really do heal the body. We know this because the word of God says so!
As you are praying, place your hands on the parts of his body that need healing.
Ask for family members and good friends to join you in prayer over your brother’s body.
I want to tell you a short story about the following prayer.
After my mom had her stroke last December, my best friend sent me this powerful prayer to pray over her every single day; which I did during her entire hospital stay. I prayed it even when my own faith was lacking and I felt hopeless.
It’s a lengthy prayer but trust me when I tell you it won’t seem long enough when someone you love is having serious health issues.

If you have the time, pray this healing prayer in its entirety. But if you can’t, then break it up into short sections and pray them throughout the day. If you can touch the part of the body that needs healing even better. Also remember to always add the name of your family member or sick friend into the prayer.
Pray it daily. Share the healing prayer with others so they will unite their faith with yours. When brothers and sisters in Christ pray, powerful things happen! Have hope and hold on to your faith, God hears you!
God gives us hope not only for life beyond the grave, but life before the grave.

Father God,
We come to you in the name of Jesus,
bless your Holy Name and give you praise.
We humbly ask for the forgiveness of our sins and (name’s) sins.
Wash us in the blood of Jesus and make us acceptable in your sight.
Father God,
grant us grace and mercy as we petition
the throne room of heaven at your feet.
Right now we lift up (name) to you in the heavens,
Father pour out your Spirit and your fire upon (name) and cover (him/her) with your feathers.
In your word it says,
You are the God of all flesh, is anything too hard for you?
We ask your healing to flow into (name) and restore (him/her)
to divine health and divine alignment.
Father it says in your word,
that you are able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we could ask or imagine.
That your word is life and healing to our flesh,
and according to our faith, so be it unto us.
Father God,
we believe with all our mind, body and spirit, that (name)
is healed by the blood of Jesus Christ,
and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
You sent your word and healed (name/them), and delivered them from their destruction.

let your power be made manifest and released through me,
and by the words of this prayer.
For it is not by our strength, it is not by our might, but by YOUR power,
and by the Spirit of the Lord which comes upon me,
the Spirit of might that comes upon me.
For when the enemy shall come in like a flood, Your Spirit lifts a standard against them.
Baptize me with the Holy Ghost and with fire!
Anoint my head with oil, and anoint my hands to heal.
That I shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover

to recover and be made whole.
For HE gave them power and authority over all devils to cure diseases.
In My Name shall they cast out devils, safety the Lord.
And these signs shall follow them that believe.
Lord,
You said to ask in Your Name and it SHALL be done.
We ask You Lord heal (name) in the name of Jesus.
We decree and declare that the angels of the Lord encompass those who fear Him.
Therefore we now summons angels that excel in strength, to marshal and protect (name),
and to war on (his/her) behalf, for You have given your angels charge over us
to keep us in all our ways.
We declare war against the spirit of infirmity!

let your MIGHTY HAND fight against those, that fight against us!

Release your fire and destroy the strongholds over (name) in Jesus name!
For we rise to our seat of authority in the heavenliness,
and we come against the principalities, the powers, and spiritual wickedness in high paces.
We pull down strongholds, and cast down every vain imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ.
We war against the spirit of affliction, pain, and suffering.

Spirit of infirmity, we command you to release (name) and come out of (him/her)
in the name of Jesus, and by the power if the Holy Spirit!

We speak to (name)’s body, and we decree and declare (name)
to be divinely aligned and healed, in the perfection that God created it to be.
And it SHALL be established unto (him/her).
And the light shall shine in all of their ways.
I/we decree and declare that (name) is set free,
for whom the Son sets free, is free indeed.
We decree that the Word of God is Life and healing to their flesh.
Heal (name) oh Lord,
and (he/she) will be healed.

There is no higher power than using God’s own word as prayer. Sending someone get well soon wishes is nice but if you really want to help your sick brother or sister, mother or father, son, daughter or dear friend; Then you will need to pray boldly in Jesus’ name. One of the most powerful ways to pray is to use God’s own word as prayer by inserting the name of the sick person in scriptures from the Bible.
Here are just a few examples of verses in the Bible you can use to pray for what hopefully will be a complete recovery over your brother’s body.

Last Thing….
It’s especially important to continue to pray in the darkest moments. When you think things cannot possibly get any worse, that’s the time to fall on your knees and cry out to your Heavenly Father. He is your very present help and comforter. The giver of peace in a world that is filled with unfortunate events and hard times.
May God envelope you in His loving arms and you find refuge under the wings of our Abba Father.
Other tangible things you can do is offer to watch young children, provide a family dinner, or wash the dishes in the sink. Better yet, don’t offer and just do it! This will be especially helpful if the sick person is a beloved wife and mom to a young family. Actions like this will give her peace of mind that her family is being taken cared of at a time she is unable to do it herself.
And remember to give a sick loved one lots of love with your warm hugs! Physical touch is important to live a healthy life.
