6 Podcasts for Moms You’ll Actually Want to Listen To: Faith, Family & Homemaking

Sharing is caring!

I’ve listened to quite a few podcasts over the years, and my list is always changing. So I thought it was time to update this post and share the podcasts I’m actually listening to right now.

If you’re looking for podcasts for moms that will encourage you in your faith, homemaking, family life, or simply give you something interesting to listen to while you’re getting things done, here are a few of my current favorites.

1. Culture Apothecary

Culture Apothecary with Alex Clark is one I’ve been listening to quite a bit lately.

This podcast is more focused on wellness, culture, and natural living, with Alex bringing on different guests to talk about everything from food and lifestyle to wellness and current issues.

I like that it gets me thinking. It’s definitely my most shared podcast.

If you’re someone who enjoys natural living and likes hearing different perspectives on health and wellness, you’ll probably find some episodes you really enjoy.

2. WHOA That’s Good

If you’re looking for a Christian podcast that’s encouraging without feeling heavy, WHOA That’s Good is one I really enjoy.

whoa tha's good podcast cover with Sadie Robertson Huff

Sadie Robertson Huff has conversations with authors, athletes, musicians, speakers, and other guests, and she asks them about the best advice they’ve ever received.

I love that you never quite know where an episode is going to go.

Some are more faith-focused, some are about relationships or life experiences, and others are just really great conversations.

If you enjoy Christian encouragement and conversations that make you think, I’d definitely give this one a try.

3. Homemaker Chic Podcast

great Podcast for stay-at-home moms
Homesteading | Real mom life | Cozy encouragement

Hosted by best friends Shaye Elliott and Angela Reed, this podcast feels like you are listening in on a phone call between two friends.

They talk about homemaking, cooking, family, relationships, motherhood, and all the everyday things that come with taking care of a home. Their down-to-earth conversations are a fun listen.

Each episode is about an hour long so I usually don’t catch everything they say, but since it’s more like listening to two besties chatting on the phone its an easy listen. It’s a good one to have on in the background when you’re cleaning the house or making dinner and need a little homemaking encouragement.

4. Simple Farmhouse Life with Lisa Bass

Homeschooling | From-scratch cooking | Slow living

If you’ve been around my blog for a while, you probably know that Simple Farmhouse Life podcast is one of my favorites.

Lisa has shared so much over the years about homemaking, cooking from scratch, gardening, homeschooling, natural living, and creating a slower, more intentional home life.

She has announced that she’s no longer recording new episodes of the podcast for now, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing new to listen to….

The archive is HUGE. There are so many good episodes that you could start at the beginning and have plenty to listen to for a very long time. If you’re new to Simple Farmhouse Life, I would honestly recommend going back and listening from the beginning.

There is something really comforting about listening to someone who has been doing this homemaking thing for a long time. You don’t have to do everything exactly the way someone else does it, but sometimes hearing another homemaker share what has worked for her gives you a little inspiration or one little idea that makes your Tuesday afternoon at home a little better.

5. Focus on the Family

I’ve been listening to Focus on the Family for years, and it’s one of those resources I keep coming back to through e-v-e-r-y stage of parenting.

Focus on the family with Jim Daly podcast cover

There are several different Focus on the Family podcasts, but their parenting content covers everything from raising little ones to navigating the teenage years, along with marriage, faith, and family life.

And with kids in very different stages, I especially appreciate having something I can turn to depending on what we’re dealing with at the moment.

Because parenting a little one is very different from parenting a teenager. And then suddenly you’re parenting an almost-grown adult and wondering how that happened so fast!

I don’t agree with every single piece of advice I hear from every podcast I listen to, but I appreciate having biblical encouragement and practical parenting conversations available when I need them.

6. Life’s a Tripp

Life’s a Tripp is another one I’ve really been enjoying.

Life's a tripp podcast cover

The Tripp family shares about family life, marriage, parenting, business, and the decisions they’ve made along the way as they’ve built their life together.

And here’s the fun part for me…

The Tripp family lives in the town right over from us! So even though we’ve never actually met in person, I kind of feel like we’re neighbors ya know?😂

I enjoy hearing their perspective on family and the choices they’ve made for their life. Sometimes it’s just nice hearing another family talk about the things that matter to them.

A Few Podcasts for Your Mom Life

So, if you’re looking for something new to listen to while you’re folding laundry, making dinner, driving to school, or working around the house, these are the six I’d recommend starting with:

And don’t feel like you have to listen to every single episode.

That’s one of my favorite things about podcasts. I can scroll through the episodes and pick the ones that sound interesting to me right now.

Because what you need encouragement for today might be completely different six months from now.

So grab your earbuds, start with whichever podcast catches your attention, and enjoy a little company while you go about your day.

Podcasts That Are On My List to Listen to Next

Okay, so I haven’t listened to these next ones yet, but they’ve been recommended to me by other moms I trust, and they are totally up my alley.

If you’re already familiar with the ones I’ve shared above and want to try something new, here are a few more podcasts for moms that are on my list to check out next:

Risen Motherhood Podcast

This one has been on my radar for a while now! It’s hosted by Emily Jensen and Laura Wifler, two Christian moms who talk about real-life motherhood through the lens of the gospel.

I’ve heard they’re super relatable and encouraging, especially when it comes to letting go of mom guilt and leaning into grace. It’s all about finding Jesus in the everyday moments of motherhood, which I’m all about.

The Homemaking Foundations Podcast

This is another one I’ve been meaning to dive into.

Jami Balmet covers all things homemaking with a biblical foundation, from routines and time management to spiritual growth and finding joy in your role at home. From what I’ve seen, she also offers online courses and printable resources for Christian moms who really want to dig in.

Definitely planning to start this one during my next batch of laundry folding!

Minimalist Moms Podcast

I keep seeing this podcast pop up, and it looks so helpful for any mama trying to simplify life (and let’s be honest, who isn’t?).

It’s hosted by Diane Boden, and she shares practical tips for decluttering, simplifying your schedule, and parenting with intention. I love the idea of creating more space, physically and mentally, for what really matters.
